Winter isn’t meant to be simply endured, but embraced!  GetKnit wants to get you outside and enjoying the elements this winter season with an evening of snow tubing under the stars, bonfires, craft beer and local wine, pizza, and live DJ entertainment!  From flying down the the chutes in your tube, relaxing next to the bonfire roasting some marshmallows, sipping on a refreshing craft beer or local wine, or dancing the night away in the tubing chalet – this event has something for everyone!

Our evening will begin post-dinner in Minneapolis at Sociable Cider Werks, where your local GetKnit Gurus will be waiting to welcome you for a night of winter fun!  After check-in we’ll hop aboard our luxury coach buses and kick back and relax as we head north to Wild Chutes Snow Tubing in Taylors Falls, MN.  Just for this event, we will be taking over their entire tubing facility and grounds so that you have full reign of their different “wild chutes” and tubing chalet.

Upon arriving, the night is yours to enjoy as you see fit.  Jump right into the tubing fun and head to the top of their “chutes”.  Of course this isn’t like tubing in your backyard — getting to the top of the hill is effortless with their conveyor lift.   During our 3-hours there you’ll have the ability to tube as much as you want to make sure to get your fill.  If you’d prefer to ease into the evening you can order up a craft beer, local wine, or non-alcoholic beverage to enjoy in their cozy chalet.  Invictus Brewing Company will be our featured local craft brewery for the night!  Offering up a variety of canned options from their diverse line-up of beers. Our pals from Winehaven Winery and Vineyards will be our featured wine for the night.  They’ll have a mix of wines available, as well as a delicious hot mulled wine made with their red wine, mulling spices, cranberry juice, and oranges.  If craft beer is more your speed, the bar will be stocked with a wide variety of beers from a featured local brewery!  Sociable Cider Werks will also be in the house exclusively for our event and will be serving up 16 oz. cans of some of their featured craft cider!

Throughout the evening we will be treated to live DJ entertainment from DJ ESP.  He’ll be spinning a collection of hits both inside and outside that will be sure to keep the energy up throughout our evening.  Warm up with a dance party at the foot of the “chutes” or tap your toes as you sing along — either way their energetic music selection will help keep you warm no matter how cold it is outside!  If you’d prefer to warm up in more traditional ways, we will have bonfires roaring outside of the tubing chalet for you to enjoy.  You’ll also be able to roast some marshmallows and make some s’mores with locally made marshmallows from North Mallow!  Throughout the evening – you’ll be able to order up an included large individual slice of late-night pizza from Wild Mountain inside our chalet to keep you fueled for your tubing adventures.

After an evening of tubing under the stars, paired with delicious beverages and food, and some epic music – this night will leave you with the confidence that you’ve fully embraced this Minnesota winter!
