Ten years ago, on St. Patrick’s Day 2013, your Local GetKnit Gurus launched our company and took to the streets of St. Paul armed with green beaded necklaces with a medallion that read “GetKnit Events”.  We wandered into bars and through the crowded streets handing out swag and spreading our hopes of what we dreamed of doing at GetKnit Events. Years later, those dreams have come to fruition and we’d love to celebrate with you!  We’re going to pay homage to our scrappy start by hosting a 10-Year Anniversary – ‘The St. Patrick’s Beer Brunch’ Celebration.  Whether you are looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Weekend or our milestone anniversary – this event features delicious food, wonderful (Irish) craft beer, great music, and of course…green beaded necklaces.

Your ‘St. Patrick’s Beer Brunch’ will take place at the one and only FINNEGANS Brew Co.,  the Twin Cities’ very own Irish inspired craft brewery (and one of our first ever event partners!) located in the heart of Minneapolis.  They’ll be opening up exclusively for you, our loyal patrons so we can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in style with their charming taproom that will transport you to a true Irish pub. After you arrive, you’ll be able to order up your first (of two!) included drinks.  They’ll have their usual line-up of great craft beers, along with some specialty brews just for St Patrick’s Day weekend, their new seltzers, and just for us…beer-mosas!

Once you get settled in, you’ll be able to grab a donut appetizer from our great friends and long-time event partners at A Baker’s Wife.  In case you’re still in need of a pick-me-up we will also have coffee for you to enjoy.

Our good friends at The Tipsy Steer have created a specialty brunch menu just for this event that features some of their hit brunch items with an Irish spin.  Don’t worry – we’re leaving the blood sausage and soda bread over the pond.  At time of registration you’ll be able to choose from one of the following scrumptious options: O’Brien’s Irish Hash with thick cut corned beef brisket, fried eggs, roasted peppers and onion, served on a bed of Potatoes O’Brien with a FINNEGANS Irish Amber beer cheese sauce drizzled on top.; Beer Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, Irish cheddar cheese, FINNEGANS beer-soaked sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, and salsa rolled into a large tortilla wrap; Corned Beef Brisket Melt with thick cut corned beef brisket, Irish cheddar cheese, fried egg, with a FINNEGANS Irish Amber beer cheese sauce served on a toasted sourdough; FINNEGANS Belgian Waffles featuring two Belgian waffles served with a FINNEGANS Dead Poet Irish Stout Maple Syrup (Vegetarian Option).  They will have their food truck onsite and you’ll be able to order up your pre-selected brunch anytime between 9 AM-11 AM.

To get you in the mood to celebrate St. Patrick’s weekend (and our 10-year!) we will have two different groups to help set the mood throughout the event!  Irish Diplomacy will be playing an electric mix of  Irish-inspired music throughout the event.  An eclectic and jazz infused Celtic band with members from varied facets of the rich Twin Cities music scene.   Mr. Seamus Burke is a wonderful Irish solo artist who will be playing on our second stage. Seamus has been a regular at FINNEGANS for the past year, and loves performing vibrant Irish pub music for friends, family, and anyone who will listen!

If that wasn’t enough fun for our time together, FINNEGANS will be offering some “mini” production tours (limited space available) throughout our time in their taproom.  While our exclusive time in their taproom (and our programming) ends at 11 AM, you’ll be welcomed to stick around  and make a day of it. They’ll have a ton of performers, music…and of course – great beer!
