Summer has arrived and the GetKnit team wants to get you outside and exploring everything the Cities has to offer! Join us on this evening adventure with a guided kayak trip down the mighty Mississippi River with a post-paddle pint and appetizers at a local brewery.
Our evening of adventuring will begin at St. Paul’s first brewery on the west side, Wabasha Brewing Company. Here your local ‘Gurus’ will be awaiting your arrival and get you checked in for our evening on the water. Once our intimate group of paddlers all arrive, we will hop on our private bus that will carry us up-river to beautiful Fort Snelling State Park, our put-in location for the river.
Upon arrival, our partners from Minnesota Adventure Company and the GetKnit crew will unload our water vessels as a representative from their team of experienced paddlers will give us a tutorial on kayaking to ensure that we are all ready to take to the river. After we get into our solo kayaks we will begin our 6.5-mile journey down the Mississippi River. We will leisurely make our way down river, taking our time to enjoy both the beauty of the shoreline and the cityscape of St. Paul as the sun sets and dusk is ushered in.
Our journey downriver will end at Harriet Island in St. Paul, where our bus will be waiting to bring us back to Wabasha Brewing Company, which is just minutes away.
At the brewery, we will enjoy a well-deserved pint of one of their refreshing brews paired with some late night appetizers from nearby Mexican Restaurant, Boca Chica. Our appetizer spread will include a mix of fresh guacamole, salsa, chips, mini burritos, and tacos. After you finish your included pint, you can order up another at a discounted rate just for us!
This evening excursion is the perfect way to make the most of your summer!
