Nestled in the side streets of uptown Minneapolis, just a stones throw from Lake of the Isles, Isles Bun and Coffee is truly a hidden gem in the Twin Cities. All of their treats are homemade, freshly baked, and bound to have you “ohhh-ing” and “mmmm-ing” after just one bite. Some of their signature treats include Caramel Pecan Buns, Cinnamon Buns (with a tub of self serve frosting on the counter for all to indulge in, no judgement given) and the infamous Puppy Dog Tails, all of which are reasonably priced. Along with the to-die-for goodies, they brew up some mean coffee and espresso drinks.
When driving and walking by, you truly might miss it if you’re not careful. Isles Bun and Coffee is no bigger than the size of an average living room with only a handful of tables; however, don’t let the small, quaint size deter you from it’s charm and character. The warmth inside the bakery comes from not only the heat of the oven and the steam of the espresso, but also the personalities of the baristas.
Swing by and see what all of the chatter is about for yourself. It is truly an unbelievable, errr, “bun”believable place.
